Work

Web applications and interactive maps I have built, at work or in my spare time.

The web version of the Atlas of Switzerland, showing a map of the rock types of northern and central Switzerland with its legend beside it.

Atlas of Switzerland

Full-Stack Web Developer, ETH Zurich, 2023–

The national atlas of Switzerland, published by ETH Zurich, with more than 400 maps. In a team of three engineers, responsible for the frontend of its new web version, built with Astro, Vue.js, MapLibre and deck.gl.

The Mica editor, with the form for a contact page on the left and its live preview on the right.

Mica

Developer, own open-source project, 2026–

A content editor for Astro that saves to JSON and Markdoc files in Git, so the website stays static and needs no database. A one-person project, and the editor behind this website.

A tour report on 46°north about La Ruinette and Mont Rouge, with the key figures of the tour and the first photos.

46°north

Writer and Developer, own project

An outdoor blog about my hikes and ski tours, with photos and route guides. It started a long time ago on WordPress, moved to a headless CMS and then to another one, and is now moving to Mica.

Earlier work

The fairQ start page, with its logo, the line “Wartelisten leicht gemacht” and a short introduction in German.

fairQ

Capstone project, Constructor Academy

A web platform that makes waiting lists transparent and fair, for the organisations that run them and the people on them. Started as our capstone project in the full-stack web development bootcamp at Constructor Academy; building it from scratch taught me Django and how to connect it to a React frontend. No longer maintained.

The Barber Niederdorf website in green and orange: the logo, the address and phone number, a booking button, the Google rating, and a corner ribbon saying when the shop opens.

Barber Niederdorf

Web Developer, freelance

A website for Ibrahim, my barber in Zurich. It is a static Astro site that takes his opening hours and reviews from his Google Business Profile, so they are always current.

The Bauernhof Uf Rüti website, with a photo of wagyu cattle grazing on a hillside pasture above the section about wagyu meat.

Bauernhof Uf Rüti

Web Developer, freelance

The website and online shop of my brother's farm, which sells firewood, wagyu beef and other farm products. Built when he took over the farm from my parents and gave it a new brand, on Shopify with my own theme.

The Familiengartenverein Zürich Ost website, with a photo of a flower bed in full bloom above an introduction to the association.

Familiengartenverein Zürich Ost

Web Developer, freelance

The website of the allotment garden association in the east of Zurich, where we rent a plot. Built with WordPress when the association needed someone to take over its online presence.
